My Dad, in his army uniform. I'm not sure when it was taken, but he would have been 30 in 1939. It would have been his birthday yesterday so he's always on my mind at this time of year.

Beautiful - can you imagine what parents of boys/men went through at this time? He was too young for WWI but just young enough for WWII - such a lottery and a nightmare for mothers.
