Thatched church at Roxton

This 200 year old church in Bedfordshire was originally a barn and was converted to a church in 1808 by Charles Metcalfe. Two wings were added later, one of which was used as a schoolroom, where children paid 2 pence per week for their education.
How pretty and what an interesting history!

A beautiful building. I wonder if it's still used.

@jmj Yes, it's used almost every Sunday, 3pm in winter and 6pm in summer.

That's funny - we walked past here over the Christmas hold and wondered about the history - fascinating place.
