Landing window by busylady

Landing window

We had a landing window fitted this week. It's a long story, but some years ago we had the poppy window made by a local stained glass manufacturer to go into an internal wall. When we recently decided to take down the wall which included the window, we were left with a beautiful window and nowhere to put it. What better than to create some light on the landing and have it fitted there? We can't believe how much light it brings, and wonder why we didn't do this years ago. The design is copied from our Wedgwood dinner service.
It's beautiful. And natural light makes such a difference to a space.
Enjoy! I do love poppies so think this is perfect!

Oh lovely! We spent years choosing a stained glass front door but didn't manage to come up with our own design. This is lovely.

I just love, love, love stained glass and am glad you were able to use this beautiful piece. Your collage is a nice record of its installation too.
