The Wallace Collection by busylady

The Wallace Collection

Another picture from our day in London. This is part of the Wallace Collection owned by Sir Richard Wallace in the 1800's. They are housed in a rather grand 18th century townhouse in Manchester Square, London. The museum is free and there are many famous artists on show - Titian, Rembrandt, Rubens and Canaletto to name but a few. You could easlily pass an hour there on a wet afternoon. There's also a very smart courtyard restaurant - we didn't eat there!

I find the composition of this very nice. But I find the orange walls and yellow paint they chose a bit odd. But it must have shown off the paintings well.
