Spindle-berry flowers by busylady

Spindle-berry flowers

I took this a few days ago when we had a light covering of snow on the ground - you can just see it in the background. I'm surprised to see they last such a long time. No time to take photos today as we've been entertaining our grand-daughter. They're pretty full on at four!
Three good things:-
Precious time spent with family
Turning on the Christmas lights in our cul-de-sac later
Inspired by judithg I made a lemon meringue pie, and while it wasn't perfect (like yours Judith!) it was very tasty and made a welcome change from crumble.
Like the spot colour

@phil_howcroft No speech Phil, just a glass of mulled wine, and all the neighbours congregating in someone's garage for a bit of a gossip.

I like your composition, it's almost selective colouring. And I do like your philosophy of finding three good things - I must do that for myself!

@janturnbull Thanks Janet, I've never done selective colouring - I must give it a try.The three good things wasn't my idea, but picked up from someone else - I quite like it.

Hahaa - well I don't tell you about the slightly unset one I made last week - and I'm very liberal in my definition of perfect when it come to the pastry. You've just reminded me that there's some left in the fridge... It is fun to make though isn't it? And I like your spindle berries very much - fascinating things and the berries are more prominent now.
