Does anyone remember a children's book called Rosie's walk? It's about a fox who gets thwarted every time he thinks he's caught the chicken. Well I went for a bird walk yesterday with @rosiekind and thought I'd post a few pictures of things we saw on the way. None of my bird pictures were very sharp, but this little robin was the best of the bunch. The old disused station of Willington is nearby and the building is the former station pub, sadly now up for sale. I'm not sure what the early blossom is but it was a delight to see it in the afternoon sun. These two dogs were giving their owner a bit of a hard time. It was good to get together to share photography tips and share a cup of tea.
I don't know the story but as many people here know I am a strong believer in using words to promote or support pictures and vice-versa, and I think you have done a great job here and come up with a nice little item.
Oh you were brave trying bird shots with the expert @rosiekind!! Lovely collection - is it blackthorn? Or actually we have some like it that comes early - one tree is a cherry plum and the other a damson. No idea how you'd tell from the flower!
Judith I hadn't heard the story but it's a great title for your collage. We had a lovely afternoon and this collage is a nice memory of some of the things we saw. I didn't realise you had taken a pic of the lady with the dog but I think yours came out better than mine as the colour is so striking!
