I've been trying to do some macro shots of Peter's Great Granddad's watch and chain. It hasn't really worked out quite as I'd hoped, but this is one of the better shots. I've photographed it on the family Bible showing the date of his Great grandfather's wedding. I've processed using a filtered b&w effect.
it's a good shot judith, you might want to do a straight shot from overhead , looking directly down with no angles...or if doing it from a more acute angle go for a shallow DOF by opening your aperture as wide as you can.
