We joined thousands of people who went to view the poppies in the moat around the Tower of London. By armistice day on November 11th there will be a total of 888,246 ceramic poppies. Each poppy represents one of the soldiers who died in the first world war. We watched a team of volunteers assembling and placing the poppies in the ground. It was a truly memorable scene reminding everyone of the futility of war. Sorry for my lack of comments but we were in London all day and went to the Albert Hall in the evening. More about that later.
