Lucy Boston's house by busylady

Lucy Boston's house

This Is the Manor house in Hemingford Grey, built in the 12th century and is one of the oldest houses to be in continuous use. The house contains a 1929 working gramophone which was used in WWII to entertain the RAF. Lucy Boston was a talented quilt-maker and also wrote a famous series of books about the Children of Green Knowe. A most interesting house to visit and a beautiful garden too.
What cool topiary... little fat man with top hats...

I also love the topiaries! They remind me of snowmen with top hats! Interesting place and house to see...thanks! :)

Well what a fabulous garden just for the topiary alone! Those round shrubs & their top hats are so perfect! Lovely house & the whole thing is so lovely!

Brilliant topiary. I wonder if they will look like snowmen when it snows.
