Carlstens Fastnings

This is the amazing fort we had the privilege to stay in for two nights in Marstrand on the West coast of Sweden. We stayed in the commandant's house, the brick building above, and we happened to bump into the commandant all dressed up in his uniform. An incredible piece of living history.

@jgpittenger It was like a prison! There were cells, torture chambers, secret passages, towers and tunnels all over. A most fascinating place. There was even talk of a ghost although we didn't see or hear anything of her.
