We went for a cycle ride with our Grandson today and finished up at this National Trust property. It's not often open so we were lucky to find a small tour taking place as we've never been inside before. The building was completed in 1541 and used to house 1500 pigeons. These were reared and sold for food. It was fascinating to see inside with all the little cubbyholes used for the nesting pigeons, who's young only lived for 8 weeks.
I was excited to find out that my pic of the butterfly on sedum recently was listed in the Top Twenty! That's a first for me - thank you all, I'm thrilled.
Well done on your TT Judith, I have never been on there ever!
Such a fascinating building….would love to go round there too…..so interesting to see this & a very unusual building!
