Winter magic

I don't think I've ever noticed frost growing on snow before - it was magical. I managed a short walk this morning in between posting a card and having friends round for coffee.
I'm grateful for children's laughter, crispy snow, good friends and the freedom to enjoy it all.

I think this is what we call Hoar Frost here; we don't see it all the time, but it is a pretty phenomenon. Great shot of it!
