We took the train to Amsterdam and enjoyed the many canals, waterways, bikes, trams and the big market. Also took a canal boat tour, but not easy to take photos as there were no open areas. We hoped to visit the Anne Frank museum but didn't realise we should have booked at least a week before we went! Same for the Van Gogh museum. We will just have to come again!
I love Amsterdam! Sorry you missed those two museums, they are both definitely worth visiting. You didn't have to book in advance back when we went to Anne Frank House, but you did have to stand in the biggest queue I've ever seen, haha. Maybe that's why the procedure has changed!
Interesting, I finished reading the Diary of Anne Frank about a year ago. I am also familiar with the story of Corry Ten Boom. Thank you for the follow. I am returning the favor.
Beautiful capture. I think I was here and taken a similar shot when we visited Amsterdam last year. It was a one day excursion from Brussels. We had little time to visit anywhere so, like you, we must return and stay longer.
A lovely shot, with the canal and bicycles just what one would expect to see in Amsterdam! A shame that you couldn't get into the museum you wanted to see. One of the features of our post Covid-19 world seems to be that many places now need advanced bookings.
