It's that time of year again! We don't have a greengrocers in town anymore, so I had to buy from Waitrose. I use a pressure cooker to cook the fruit, hence the lid. The bag is full of the pith and pips, which goes into the pan, and is cooked along with the fruit. The remaining oranges are for the next batch!
I am impressed with your marmalade skills Judith . Love the occasional shop at Waitrose , our nearest supermarket is 20+ miles away in Newark , although there is an 'urban" Waitrose in the city
That's very impressive Judith. I've cooked and baked a lot of things in my time but I've never made marmalade. I friend who makes it regularly has told me it's not that difficult, maybe I'll have a go this year. I do have all the equipment! Fav.
I love home made marmalade (even though I've never made any) my Granddad use to make it in a copper pan on the stove top, the kitchen was filled with an amazing aroma!
Perhaps I should have a go. My mum used to make marmalade even in her eighties!!! I haven't since I was 30!!!
