Georgian Prison Chapel

The prisoners in this jail in Lincoln were forced to go to church service, unless they were Catholic apparently. The story goes that some used to say that they were Catholic to get out of going! They were each put in a separate “ cubicle “ so that they couldn’t see each other & couldn’t talk. If you sit in one of these, all you can see is the pulpit. No doubt there was a lot of “fire & brimstone “ coming at these sinners!

Oh I remember this, it’s fascinating. You managed to get a good photo, I remember it wasn’t easy.
