If you enlarge this you should be able to see that one totally unique snowflake that fell this morning on my Crabapple tree at just that one moment in time when I pressed the shutter. I have tried repeatedly to catch one of these little, tiny pieces of perfection. I'm not sure how long I stood in my front yard as this gorgeous stuff floated around me and landed on the still red apples. I didn't realize I was cold until I turned to go back in the house. I never put myself in a situation to knowingly get cold - at least not until I had a macro lens. If my hands were steadier maybe I could have caught more of these little pieces of perfection. But, today, I am totally happy with this one. I have been spending time lately shooting RAW files and it sure helped with this. I have also been trying to figure out histograms. Makes perfect sense - or at least as much as I need to understand today.
That is definitely an Instant Fav!! Such a beautiful part of Nature. I never knew before 365 that one could actually capture a picture of a single snowflake.
