Tom and I went to the Owl Prowl lecture at Spring Grove Cemetery tonight. I was standing in line at the Norman Chapel - "constructed in 1880. It is fashioned in the Romanesque revival style and boasts several beautiful stained glass windows and gargoyles." I heard my name and turned around to find Lyn (@lyno) behind me. I got to MEET Lyn. It was like hugging an old friend. Here we are peeking back and forth into each other's lives on line and living in the same city. We should have done this long before now. I hope to get to a meet up next weekend of some other Cincinnati folks.
The owls came in second place tonight. This is a barn owl. The chapel is incredible - but dark. I didn't take my flash in because I didn't think they would allow it - but they did. The on camera doesn't cut it.
What a fantastic evening in every way..how terribly funny when you feel you know someone although you've never met!! Lovely owl shot, no doubt we'll see one on Lyn's upload!!
Lovely shot. Getting an owl shot is one of the things I dream of.... I have only seen an owl here once (it was in flight, it was past midnight and I didn't have a camera ;-) but I hear them quite often.
Great shot.
