Travelling back from Hamilton last month after visiting family, we called in at a rest area beside Lake Karapiro (a man-made lake, part of the Waikato River hydro-electric power system). The sun was going down, and the late afternoon light was on the trees across the other side of the lake as we arrived, so I leapt out of the car to grab some photographs. A few minutes later the light was gone. Meanwhile my husband was joking with the others in the car that he was tempted to leave me behind!
