I don't think I've ever mentioned my job on here. I work for an electrical co-op and we serve about 55,000 members. I've worked there for over 13 years and I feel blessed to have a job that I really like! A new responsibility that I've just been given is to take photos for the company. I was really thrilled about that! As a result, I'm taking my first photography workshop today!
A few weeks ago my boss was preparing a brochure for the president of the company to present to our board and senior management. They chose to use the fall picture that I posted on October 20th as the cover and used a few other pictures that I took throughout the booklet. I was also thrilled about that!
Not meaning to appear boastful, but I feel blessed today to have a job that I like and to work for a company that cares about their communities. We connect family and friends.
You even make power lines look beautiful. We have a similar scene like this nearby and I took a photo back in year one without that gorgeous evening sunset. Good luck in your photography class but you could sure teach them a thing or two about composition and DOF and interesting photos. Interesting story about your job, Cindy. I don't know how you find the time to work, go to class and keep up with 365. Do you ever sleep....LOL! Anyway, here's another fav.
This photo looks like a cover for magazine, brochure or phone book! Beautiful! Glad to know what you do and that you love your job! I think they are blessed to have you! Can't wait to see what you learn in your workshop!!!
Congratulation Cindy! Very smart of them to use your awesome talent! Great capture & colors above-They are extremely lucky to have you! Looking forward to seeing & hearing about the workshop :)))))
Love this photo, Cindy. The leading lines and the colour are just wonderful. Congratulations on having your photos used - they are very worthy. It is a real bonus to have a job you love!! Fav!!
