Sorry for more of the same. I went to the photography workshop yesterday and felt like my head was going to explode before I left! I never realized that so much thought has to go into every shot when you use an SLR manually. It will be awhile before I can afford to get one and then it will take awhile longer before I learn how to use it properly!
It gives me even more of an appreciation for those of you that have mastered that skill.
I truly appreciate your follow and support. As I've said before, you keep me going.
This is a nice shot, Cindy, and re your comment on manual slr I can well imagine what an overload of information has to be retro-learnt and I am so grateful to have used manual cameras for many years before any form of automation was invented ... and I still use the principles learnt then, which make even digital photography so much more satisfying. Hang in there, girl ... you won't regret it!
@cimes1 - Thanks Carole. It was actually just a one day course and I guess that's why it was so overwhelming. Trying to learn it all in a matter of hours was just mind-boggling to me. I have to admit that I felt so intimidated and discouraged after coming out of the class. But, as they say, practice, practice, practice makes perfect. Boy do I have a lot of practice ahead of me! I really do appreciate your support though.
@cindymc I can relate soooooo well ;-) That's why I just keep it simple as possible because I have a tendency to STRESS out. Practice when you can and also I can recommend some online sites that provide daily newsletters on photography. Only problem I never have time to read them but have saved them all. I'll get it for you later. Are you on facebook or e-mail?
