Back in March, I took hundreds of pictures trying to practice trying to freeze motion in midair but no matter how hard I tried I couldn't do it: http://365project.org/cjphoto/365/2011-03-27
Fast-forward almost a year, and after using a much faster shutter-speed, was able to freeze it in literally one shot! Most likely it was chance but this project and a lot of practice has truly helped me improve.
