Most wouldn’t describe city pigeons as beautiful birds. I mean they can be dirty and the ‘surprises’ they leave on people’s car give them a bad rep. But every creature has its purpose and good qualities too. I’ve always loved the colors of a pigeon’s eyes and the purple & green colors on their neck feathers. It’s pretty cool that those colors are more defined if the sun hits them a certain way. Happy this guy gave me a good pose, although he seems to be staring in the direction of my car! Even after I gave him such a nice compliment too!

You did a great job catching the purple sheen of those neck feathers! Pigeons are very beautiful. We have some outside of our office window. Sometimes they provide a nice distraction.
