You know how excited dogs get when they see a squirrel (if you ever seen the Pixar movie 'Up' you'd know exactly what I mean)? That's what I was like when I saw this squirrel. Got so excited that I just kept snapping away. I'm such a city-boy. Squirrels do live around Los Angeles but you primarily see them in the parks. However, they're never around when I have my camera. So you can imagine my puppy-like excitement on seeing this little guy coming toward me. He looked at me like I was crazy and when he saw that this trigger-happy photographer wasn't giving him any food, he scurried away and up a tree. Next time, when I'm actually thinking, I'll try to keep him around longer with some nuts and try out some better angles. Although I do like his bushy tail in this one :)

I miss squirrels....never thought I'd say that! We don't have any here, though there are the smaller red squirrels in Waterton Park (about a.5 hrs from here).
@lynnb - Really? No squirrels? Thought these little guys were just about everywhere. haha. The smaller red variety ones do sound interesting! Big thanks for all your friendly comments Lynn!
@cimes1 - Thank you very much Carole. Actually, later on I was beating myself over not getting a different angle, like lower to the ground or something. However, I'm real happy to see that this pose and colors are effect!
