Today I decided to practice a technique I haven't tried before: radial blur. Using a slower shutter speed, you rotate the camera while taking the exposure. You could end up with your subject in focus while the rest has a rotated blur. As with many motion shots, it takes a bit of trial and error as well as just being fortunate. Or you could just play it easy and apply the technique with a Photoshop filter. haha. Careful staring at the blur too long, ya might get a bit dizzy! :D
@swilde - Yep Sue this was all by hand. Because of the shutter speed I used (1/15 of a sec) it only took a slight twist of the camera to get this result...after a few shots. :)
@shannejw - You're welcome Shanne and thanks for the nice comment! Okay I'll make that part of my goals this year: radial blur on roses and vertical blur on trees!
@lynnb - Yep all 'in camera' with no photoshop. I used a slow shutter speed (1/15 of a sec) and rotated the camera slightly. It took a few tries and I think I was just fortunate to get a shot that worked!
