I've been wanting to try this selective color technique for a while and what a fun flower to do so with. Pansies are one of my absolute favorites. There's something about their bright two-toned colors that draw me in...as well as cause me to draw on them. haha. Actually, I didn't draw on this pansy at all. In my post processing, I took all the color out except purple and turned a small spot next to the marker black and white to give the coloring illusion. One of the things I love about pansies is it truly does look like someone blotched it with a marker! :D
A very big thank you for all the recent views, comments, and favs on my last few photos! Sorry I haven't been around commenting and checking out you guys projects, but some other important things have my attention at the moment. Hope to catch up soon :)
Fabulous shot, brilliant idea. I can't wait to show the Grandmonsters that this is how flowers get their colours. Lol they will be painting flowers for days. Thanks for the follow.
@markp - Thanks a bunch Mark! If you find that all the flowers nearby you have an array of mix-matched colors, you'll know exactly what happened! haha. Thanks for the follow back :)
Been a bit preoccupied this week but wanted to say I read each and all your comments and thank you so much for your very encouraging remarks!
@neatz - Thanks so much for your nice words and the fav Anita!
