Thanks soooooooo much on all the wonderful comments, views, and favs on my last few shots. Haven't had much time to thank you all but I wanted to say I really appreciate it!
Today I wanted to take more water drop shots. Had no particular shape or look in mind, just whatever the camera captures. You never know what you'll get because the water falls so very fast. Even though I caught many duds (about 600 this time haha), with enough patience, you'll get a cool looking capture!
Focus can be tough in a shot like this but I read a technique that makes it a bit easier to focus on where the drop is falling. Stick the end of a pen into the water exactly where the drop is falling and manually focus on the pen. Remove the pen and then shoot away. Sometimes you might have to make a few adjustments but it does a pretty good job of getting the focus closer to being sharp every time. :)
Another great one Chris!! I'm very impressed that you've been able to continue to get such clear interesting crowns as I know how hard it is. 600 misses to me is nothing!! I had at least that when I tried mine -- ending up with only one. I like the clarity of this one and the shininess.
