My Toy Photo today had me playing around with my old Hot Wheel cars. Been wanting to try some motion blur on these for a while, but ran into a small problem. When using regular flash and after pushing the cars, the motion blur was at the front of the cars, not the back. Next, tried used trailing-sync flash but it was giving me strange double vision of the cars. So I improvised...I used regular flash and rolled the cars backwards! Perfection! You can't even tell. :)
@gigiflower - Thank you Sam! Gotta try anything to make the photo work, even if it's 'tricking the eye.'
@annika82 - Thanks Annika! With the right settings, it's not too hard to pull off, just takes lots of patience!
@julie - I'm sorry Julie! Simply put, when I rolled the cars forward on a slightly slower shutter speed and used flash, the cars looked like they were moving backwards. So I rolled the cars backwards instead, which made them look like they were moving forward. I think I may have confused you more though. lol.
