(Day 182) - A Doctor for Woody

Was 6 years old when Toy Story was released in theaters and I still remember like yesterday the captivating effect the imagery and story had on my little mind. And while many of the other kids liked Buzz Lightyear, Woody was my favorite. So you could imagine my excitement when my parents surprised me with my very own. Throughout the years, I played with my favorite until he literally came apart at the seams! So he's retired now...and in serious need of a good doctor...but he's still my favorite all the same. :)
He looks rather content

It's obvious from the shape Woody's in that he's a well-loved character. He was my favorite too, as well as my youngest son's who was about the same age when the movie first came out. Creative idea, having him doctored up for the photo.

love the story behind the shot; Toy Story is an awesome movie. What kid doesn't imagine that the toys come to life when they aren't home? I know I did.

@julie - haha so true Julie! It was fun to imagine that they have their own worlds apart from your presence! Thanks!

@lyndemc - Thanks Denise! At times I do wish I kept him in better shape but a kid is a kid! He's definitely a beloved character.

@ladygator - Thank you Nancy! Same here, watched it so much when I was little and I still know many of the scene by heart.

@spock - Thanks David for the comment and the Fav! Sometimes dolls can look creepy in photos so really happy to hear that this has a 'realism' to it.

What a well loved Woody! All my children are called Woody - with a surname of Wood, what else could it be! One daughter has her own Woody toy which her son aged 2 now loves. She also has a huge lego collection so I'll have to follow you to share your enthusiasm with her!

@gilbertwood - Thanks a ton Denise! That's so cool that your kids can be called Woody and have a much-loved Woody as well! As you can tell, even at 24 years of age, I'm still having tons of fun with my Woody and Lego bricks. Thanks for the follow too! :)
