First, I have to say thank you for the overwhelming positive responses to yesterday's photo with my little Legographer buddy and I. It's a photo that I like very much so it's really awesome to know you guys do to!
Today I tried one of the most dangerous photo techniques for a camera, kinetic photography! Kinetic photography (also known as "camera tossing") is a technique of shooting photos with the actual physical movement of the camera.
Wait...tossing your camera?!? Yep! However, it doesn't always have to be a camera toss. You can also shake, bounce, swing or spin it. The goal of the technique is to obtain unpredictable results which are sometimes fascinating and always abstract.
But I wanted to do the actual camera toss! I set my camera up next to a lit up, colorful picture and placed dozens of pillows and blankets on the ground. After pushing the shutter, I tossed my camera up and then caught it. Caught so many neat looking abstract shots. This one resulted from a rotating camera toss. Groovy!
Word of caution: Even with protection, this is still a dangerous technique, so please be super careful if you try it, otherwise your camera will be the one to become abstract art! ◠‿◠
Super cool effect, I typically find these shots pretty neat but don't see myself trying it anytime soon ^_^ I love that you placed pillows everywhere and great tags too! :)
