(Day 135) - Water Tower

These mini water bottles really tested my stacking skills. After some time, I finally was able to keep them standing! :)

This shot was taken with a long exposure of 30 seconds and what I did for the background was move a blue image on my tablet around the back to get these results. :)
Wow that's awesome, the background looks like you used a bokah!

Nicely done Chris! I love the results of Intentional movement...it's use here is gorgeous and very well paired with the water image!

@shylaine3304 @Weezilou @joysabin @summerfield @racmat @bill_fe @koalagardens @grammyn

Thanks a bunch you all for the kind remarks! After all the trouble they caused me, I was tempted to take a ball and whack them down like at carnival games...but didn't want to deal with a potential flood in my room. :P

Awesome! I guess this is a liquid version of a house of cards judging from your description!

Beautifully done. I'm not sure I know what you mean about moving a blue image on your tablet around...was the physical tablet behind the bottles? And thanks for the explanation
Probably a bit dangerous for me to try with bottles of red wine for my red project...lol.

Clever!!!!!

@olivetreeann - Yes! Exactly! I had to turn off my fan because even the wind was giving me trouble. Haha. Thanks Ann!

@joemuli - Thanks very much Joey!

@granagringa - Thank you so much! Yes, while my shutter was open for 30 seconds, I moved my physical tablet in the background to get the effect. However, I failed to mention that you must also put a bit of light on the subject first.

Probably sounds complicated but there's a tutorial and video on this website that could probably explain it better: http://www.diyphotography.net/lightpainting-iphone-and-ipad/

Great effect Chris! Thanks for letting us in on your technique. May have to try something along that line!

@stray_shooter - Thanks Ron! And no problem, this technique is really fun and can't wait to see what you come up with!
