Today, I decided to have some fun with paperclips. Unlike yesterday's photo, these are actually black paperclips in my collection.
For a while I've been using a neat trick for photographing certain subjects in darkness using a long shutter speed and the light on my cell phone screen. While the shutter is open, move the light over all the paperclips at different angles. If the photo still comes out too dark either scan the light on the subject more or use a longer shutter speed. You should be left with a lit subject surrounded by darkness. :)
