Thought Fred was having a "Mmm, Mmm, Good!" moment as he ate this delicious Salsa Chicken I made. Turns out, however, that frogs close their eyes when they eat because their eyes help them swallow! Frogs don't have teeth so they push their eyeballs slightly down to force the food down their throats.
Still, I think Fred is closing his eyes to swallow AND savor every tasty morsel. :)
@stephanies - Who knew photos of Fred could give us such good biology lesson on frogs. He does look like he's taking in the aromas too! I think it's the angle of his nose :P Thanks Stephanie,
I love that you're doing your studies as you progress here, and teaching us as you go along! I had no idea! What I DO know is that Mexican dinner look "sabroso"!!!
Gracious! I'm learning all sorts of neat things about frogs! It's something how photographing a toy animal in different settings makes you start to think about their qualities and skills. Thanks you so very much for taking time and leaving so much positive feedback. It's really encouraging!
