Don't know a whole lot about cars so not sure how accurate these are but some toy car makers include engine parts underneath. They could easily leave it blank and kids would still play with them but it's a neat detail to include anyway. :)
Good to know! Something I have never even thought about before. You can be assured I will be checking from now on though! My husband is a bit of a mechanic so I’ll be sure and ask him about it as well. Your photo shows great detail of this I love the way you have done it
