(Day 250) - Snail's Pace

Normally, I like to take my time with my setups, positioning CJ and whatnot. Thought I had all the time in the world to photograph a slow snail. Turns out, however, he was moving super fast!!

As a result, didn't position things exactly as I like but it's passible. I'm guessing CJ got his shot too. Such is the animal world sometimes. Gotta be ready at a moments notice.
They can move a lot faster than we assume

Uncooperative snail, eh? Well, I’m pretty sure CJ got his shot. I imagine he clicked the shutter before you got back in position to take yours. If he leans back any further, he’ll tip over.

Well, there is a fable with the turtle and the hare. I think that's Wally called for asmall and a photographer. :)

I hope CJ is using a wide angle! Funny how "at a snail's pace" becomes really fast when we're trying to get the shot ;-P

I'm wondering how you saw this tiny 🐌 way down there to begin with! Nice capture of the quick little guy.

Unusual theme, but a great solution.

How funny! I was actually thinking before I read your narrative that I hope the snail didn’t move too fast for you to get your picture. It turned out beautifully so I guess you can work under pressure!

Snails are contrary. They will sit in the same spot for hours but then, when you are trying to photograph them, they stick their little heads out and take off at a pretty good pace.
