August Words #22 - Words

Handpainted on an ashtray. I don't fancy the idea of folk squashing out their cigarette on those simple but iconic words and colours, so its purpose is more of a little dish that I keep for odds and ends such as stray paperclips or elastic bands etc.

A good idea for saving the dish. Funny that the painting is of Africa but the song with the same title was written by Bob Marley a Jamaican native.

Yes - its probably due to the fact that he was a Rastafarian; Rastafarianism was born out of Ethiopia.

Thanks! Everytime I look at that ashtray or move it or whatever, I have the same thing! Can't get that song out of my head... lol. But its good - great singer, great songs. Love his music.
