These leaves are just amazing. I've frequently seen birds bathing in them when they’re holding water after rainfall. They can apparently hold the weight of a small child, or when the leaves are fully grown, an adult weighing up to 70kgs. The giant lily flowers are also pretty neat.
In Mauritius, they are located in a large pond in Pamplemousses Garden.
