Moorland mamas by craftymeg

Moorland mamas

These ewes are out braving the cold winds and temps, they will be taken in shortly to lamb I would think. They’re always a bit later than field ewes to give birth. This year I don’t think it’s been as hard on them as the weather has been cold and dry not snowy, I still wouldn’t want to winter with the weather they do endure. !!
Best on black

Thank you for all your lovely comments and favs all are welcome and appreciated.
Don't know where the grassy tufts end and the ewes begin :-)

A lovely capture, their thick fleeces should protect against the cold weather

Beautiful rural scene. With that coat on I don't think they would mind the cold.
