Floating Along

Tree leaves were blown onto the puddle today. This maple tree leaf floated along the surface of the water, right beside the patch of ice in the middle of the puddle. This is the photo that made me decide that there was still a special quality to the puddle and that I could still capture that special quality with my camera. I added some processing to add a bit more special quality to this shot. The sky was not blue when I shot this, but I could envision what the puddle would look like in the future when there was a blue sky and then how the puddle would look later next week when colder weather comes back.
Neat! And I like the interesting elongated crop, especially when viewed on black.
