When I was helping check in the art work for the state fair contests in the fine arts building, I was able to view the art of other artists. I took a short break to view the art in The Top 50 show (which consists of the top 50 art pieces). This is a juried show, which means that the judge must select your piece. Since I had entered this show, but my two framed photos were not selected to be in this show, I wondered what the judge was looking for. I observed that the judge had selected art pieces that had some color in them. Some of the pieces had lots of strong colors in them. Another thing I noticed was that most of the artists had portrayed their subjects form unique perspectives. When I got home, I took pictures of zinnia flowers in a vase. This is my take on how to photograph the flowers from an unique perspective. Then, I had fun editing the image so it looked more like a painting.
