Today, I had so many birds in my back yard, but everytime I went outside to capture some, they flew away. As the day started to wane, I realized that I would need to go for a walk somewhere to find some interesting subjects for today's upload. I did take some in my yard and I took some shots of my tea kettle steaming, but they were just blah.
Once I went out--got in the car and drove somewhere-- I had a number of shots to choose from (some sweet gum trees, birds, and greenery). I settled on this Robin because he seemed fine with me being so close (I have other shots of him looking directly at me, which was pretty cute!). I'm glad I went out to capture photos today (365 has really been an inspiration).
@vskolnik I was just telling my husband tonight that there is something I'd like to accomplish when I can figure out all the manual settings on my camera (sigh) and it was the effect you had on the Danger: Caution Ahead photo--I love your work and will keep following to learn more things.
@dstod Deena, I've been a little obsessed with birds lately. I got a wonderful set of them today but opted for my traffic cone shot instead. Birds are a uch wonderful subjects.
You captured this image in a way that it assigns a story to the bird! Nicely done. I completely agree with you that 365 has been an inspiration. The commitment keeps us going on days when we'd definitely not have picked up our cameras pre-365. Glad you went out to get this one!
@jyokota Thanks. I've really been inspired by 365. I love using my real camera now--I got it new 2 christmases ago, but never really used it until I started 365. I also love seeing what people from around the world are seeing and capturing!
