Stream at Sunset by darylo

Stream at Sunset

While in the Blue Ridge Mountains, I experimented with long exposure with water!! I got two I like. Here is the other one: http://365project.org/darylo/didn-t-make-cut/2013-10-14. Just getting back and trying to resituate from sloooow pace to normal pace.

Here are the things I loved about being away. I had no wifi. I finished reading a book I've been inching through. I went horseback riding. I saw cows. I went to an apple orchard. I went to an arts festival. I browsed in country stores. I talked with my old southern twang again (and got teased by my kids because it only comes out when I'm around other southerners). I played with photography. I ate smores. I petted stray dogs. I saw a snake and did not tell the girls. I saw beautiful sunsets. I hiked on a trail to find a waterfall and did not find the waterfall. I hiked a trail anyway, and loved it. I realized that my daughters are not as outdoorsy as I am and I'm ok with that. I didn't want to come home, but I did. :)
How beautiful, your images. your trip, your self.

Like the contrast of the moving water with the fallen leaves on the rocks... and sound like a fabulous day! (Except for the snake)

Very cool shot. Love the colors under the water. Beautiful place those Blue Ridge Mountains. I'm feeling the itch to head south myself. What little bit remains of my WV accent sure sticks out up here in NH! LOL!

Fav dear Darly! And love your thoughts... and relate to them... and so happy you got time to do the things you love and more "being you" time , which scores more than "me time". :-)
