This little bud from the Maple tree is fun to watch. Notice how the blooms produce the early signs of leaves in the form of helicopter blades! The colors are very rich (and I'm hopeful that the detail is ok--tried to tighten the aperture more--still overcast, but a wider aperture cannot get all in with my macro clip--also, I had to crop significantly for this shot).
@kimdupuy thanks for comment, opted to reupload, but I did mention on the other upload that the macro clip is good for these things for only 70 or so bucks. It's really quite versatile, but I have to hold breath a lot! :)
@bsheppard Yes, the awfully bland sky that is blocking the sun! I guess it gives it a bit of a high-key effect to some extent. Hope next week I'll have some better light and blue background! The experiment does demonstrate how the weather dictates the scene some.
@gailmmeek For me to concentrate on one thing a day for each week, now that's something. I'm usually so all over the place. It's really helped me focus on the skills, and I like the visual on the monthly view! Next month, I may do all abstracts!
@gailmmeek Year two is so different for me now. I'm focusing much more inwardly because I have the skills I truly did not have last year. Really has made a powerful impact on my desire to reach new photographic goals. So glad to see you back on. Moving is a pain, but now you are in the new home. So excited for you!
hey - I love the sound of abstracts. I also love the sound of focusing on one thing.... seems to be working well for you - I may try it!
