The Silos by dide

The Silos

The photography workshop that Julz and I have been on has finished, and we are headed back to the North Island tomorrow. Tonight, we are staying in a place at Little River - out towards Akaroa on the Banks Peninsula. This is our unit - a funky well designed place to stay, called The Silos. When my dad's family first came to NZ, they were based at Little River.
Interesting photo

@golftragic Yes - a great place to stay - small environmental footprint from these 9 units. They were placed on a small section, water from the handbasin recycled to flush the toilet, insulation from wool, LED lighting, biolytix waste water system, no office - just emailed instructions on how to collect the key etc. A very nice experience.

What a great alternative building style... I like quirky places to stay and this certainly fits that bill.
