This is in NZ's South Island - a narrow metal road through some lovely high country. It was further along this road where we came upon 1200 sheep - a traffic jam NZ style!
@777margo Ha - ages. We stopped and waited for the flock to go past, which only took a few minutes, but then we turned around and followed the shepherd and his dogs along the road about half a km so we could take some more images. We were in holiday mode, so no rush!
We went through Arthur's Pass on one of our trips to the SI and loved the country, this pass looks to have much the same colours. Love it, fabulous country you live in.
