Steps, steps and more steps. by dide

Steps, steps and more steps.

Most of the track into the base of the Wairere Falls is a gentle uphill (about three quarters of an hour walk), but not long before you get to the viewing platform, there are some steps. We are a bit unfit, so they seemed to go on for a while... On our way down, we met some youngies who were running up the steps!
I am not good at steps any more

This reminds me of Starved Rock State Park in Illinois. It's beautiful, and a challenge to handle all the stairs!

Super collection - that's a little more than "some" steps!

I hope they weren't slippery - often wooden steps in bush are! Though they often put netting on them to help. Its lovely walking in bush without muddy and root covered paths!

This is a challenge! But the reward at the top is worth the effort.

@maggiemae they had the netting on them to help prevent slipping.
