This is so reminiscent of art projects I've done in the past (though not as well as your photo!) Using hand-made or dyed paper, we'd add a drop of black ink and blow on it through a straw, creating the tree and branches effect. They were very fun to see what would happen... I like that you found this lacy tree in its "finished" state!
