It is designed as a portfolio website to exhibit my New York City photography and not really a store (however I may add a store component in the future). The flash version looks best viewed on a Laptop or PC and after passing the legal page, click on the little red box in upper right corner to view full screen. There is also an html version for I-pads but the flash version is better. If you have time I'd love comments and feedback.
I never could have imagined that I would have a photography website. But your amazing support over all this time has given me such energy to be able to achieve this and for that I am forever grateful to you :-D
PS We'll see where this leads ... to be continued.
@ellimae - Thank you Ellen. I actually had drinks with a publishing house that is interesting printing the book for a piece of the action. Still much to negotiate so we'll see.
Congratulations Michael. This website is stunning, not just your amazing shots but the whole layout. I wish you all the best with it and I'm looking forward to the book. (Lovely to see that get-pushed selfie in there!)
Congratulations! I can't wait for the book and all good things to come!!
I do think the ability to see thumbnails for the galleries would be awesome. The full impact of the image is in large size, but seeing all the images together has its own impact. (since you asked for comments)
great stuff mate - just had a very quick look - and certainly not the time it needs or deserves, so have put it to my favourites to enjoy when I have a quiet moment and a streaming cup of tea! Hope you add the purchase options sometime...i'd buy!!
@mastermek - Thx very much MEK. I started off with basic template from website company and I created the artistic customization which a tech friend implemented. I hear you on the thumbnail point. Can't change, but it gets resolved viewing full screen. Thx again.
I am shocked! I thought you would have had a website by now. To be honest, I really thought you were a professional photographer. What a great story, and very inspirational. Good luck on your future endeavors.
@steeler hi howard - just a note in case you didn't know, anyone can view at 365 without joining. i have several non-365'ers who check my pics here on a regular basis but they just can't comment.
awesome site michael! very easy to follow, love the dark background. great selection of galleries. i'm very happy for you. well deserved, keep up your fantastic work!!!!
oh, look at you. congratulations, ME. i love the website! and i hope NYC rewards you for promoting it. you're its best ambassador. and now that we have an office in new york, i just might visit sooner than later. :-)
WOW! The site is beautiful and I just know it will lead to big things for you. You are so very talented and I hope the best for your book deal. You'll have to be sure to let us all know when it happens...because it will. I'll be so excited to own a copy of the book that was created by someone I "know"!!
Congratulations Michael! I love NYC and this is a beautiful site of a talented photographer. I wish you more and more success. I hope the best for your book deal. All best and keep us posted...
Michael, I've seen your name quite frequently on this project so I viewed your website. Extremely well done, and your photography is awesome. I enjoyed the visit. Best of luck with the website.
KILLER! You're a force to be reckoned with, my dear. Nothin' ventured, nothin' gained. As you well know, I believe you've got the chops. Hang on, I think you're on your way to somethin' here! A big, FAT atta boy from me to you! x Betsie
Perfection! I love the display and am looking forward to more. I remember almost every one of these photos when they were displayed. Looking and waiting for that store. Congrats and well done. You earned it!
Awesomeness and congratulations!! Going back to finish looking :)
(I just stumbled upon this thread doing a search for discussions on websites/hosting. My friends keep bugging me about a website and I'm doing research.)
Hi Michael,
Beautiful website for a display of beautiful pictures!
I like that you credit your wife and "365" for the beginning of your new found hobby. With over 1000 followers, you have been an inspiration to many; imagine how many "Fav" pictures belong to you!
Wishing you all the best with publications of books and/or calendars. ...and of course in your career too!
-- Thank you all so much I really appreciate it.
It's an amazing site & I can't wait to hear about your book publishing as I'm sure it will happen soon!!
Did you make it yourself? Little tip: a little more room between the top and your name to make place for the thumbnails.
I do think the ability to see thumbnails for the galleries would be awesome. The full impact of the image is in large size, but seeing all the images together has its own impact. (since you asked for comments)
FYI, fullscreen in flash just resizes the layout. So, same issue, if you consider it as one.
BTW, I watched your images go by on my mobile most of the time. Fullscreen sure does them good!
You shots are awesome... I will be checking your site out when I get back to the UK from Spain :)"
