So, another year comes to and end! I'm ending the 3rd year of the 365 project, I'm sure others are ending their 1st/2nd years and others have been on here longer then me!
Who's going to carry on next year? How long have you been on here?
Starting year 3 on 1 February. I have "lost the plot" a bit over the last month but hope to do another year, perhaps giving myself a specific challenge this time - still thinking!!
i'm ending my 2nd year, i'm still going to post but not everyday this year as i want to focus my energies on other things i need to do. this takes up so much time shooting, uploading, editing, posting, commenting, i need to have a break lol
Ending sporadic second year and beginning a third year with the intent of posting daily without missing a day like my first year. Even if I change my mind, I will still be hanging around.
This is a fun time of year because of the influx of newbies!
I finish year one on NYE! Really not sure what to do afterwards .. will probably still post, but won't force myself to take one every single day. I have loved the challenge but it has been very stressful at times!!
I'm in my final days of year 1. I'll take a break and not out rule the possibility of coming back for a second year, but at a less frequent upload pace. Don't think I can stop lurking around here altogether.
Just need 1 more photo to finish year 2, I may lurk around like @rockinrobin and I have ace. (So willing to support a TREMENDOUS site) But I have so many other projects for my photos and I want to take a photo class...so year 3 will be limited!
In my first year and addicted to the site, seeing such marvelous pictures each day and meeting new people. Defintely has me working on improving my skills
Have wandered in and out for three months somewhat waiting until now to get totally immersed. I came here to use it as a photo-journal of my 64th year. My birthday passed a few weeks ago and I knew I was too busy to kick-in right away. So, I will kick-in tomorrow or the next day. I will not take a photo each day, but I will post a fairly recent photo for each day. I may make one album a photo-journal and another for more critical attempts.
One thing I want to do is dedicate each month to mastering an aspect of good photography.
Today was my 365th photo and Yes I am going around again cannot imagine leaving this amazing site. so much still to learn and so many people to listen to for advice and use for inspiration how could I leave?
I started 1 January 2012 and plan to keep going next year. I've learned so much from the talented photographers who post here -- I can't imagine not sharing pictures and comments with this supportive community.
Like @naomi I will be starting year #4 on Jan. 1. To me it has become a diary of my daily life. I love looking back and remembering what i was doing or thinking when I took a particular photo. I hope you newcomers get as much pleasure from your association with this site, and the friends you make here, as I have done. Happy New Year!
3 more photos to complete my 365 photo, then my bonus 366 photo will be the beginning of my Year 2 album. I have really enjoyed doing the project, used my camera every single day, no gaps, no fillers and it has been the best learning experience for getting off the auto setting.
Finished after year #1. Why? Found I was in to too many photo projects and a couple were similar. Needed to make some tough decisions. There is always another year.
I'll be finishing year one in about 3 weeks. What a great year it's been - I've learned so much. I'm planning on continuing, as I have a new camera to learn and practice with, but I don't yet know if it will be a "photo every day" kind of commitment.
I started in October 2011 and my Mum was dying. It really helped me to get through a terrible time. The support of everyone here has been fantastic and I have learnt so much. I am now trying out manual settings which I would never have done before 365. I look forward to every day and it has got me out walking with my camera. Here's to another great year
I took a little hiatus between year 1 and year 2. But today is my last day of year 2 and I think I'll keep on truckin'. The monthly challenge lists, thank you Bulldog, have really kept my motivation up. So, onward to 2013!
Totally new to this so here comes a stupid question. Do you have to start the project on 01 Jan 2013 or can you start on any date? Starting in January makes more sense. Any answers would be great fully received. Many thanks.

Brand new to this site and the picture everyday concept, but very excited to start. Hoping to better document my family's everyday life instead of just scrapbooking special events.
I got way behind due to illness and that is so frustrating as I have so many day's missing. Am I just suppose to forget last year and not fill it in? Or start over again next year? I enjoy it so much and seeing other's also.
I got started on this project "By accident" a year and a half ago. I got on to look at my niece's photos, and had to make an account. Then she said "I am following YOU now." so I started posting pics then. I am in second year and post most days, but if I cannot, I don't.
I've just finished my first year and am really pleased that I managed to do it, a photo every day, with no fillers! I think I am going to carry on into 2013 but I don't know if I can manage a photo every day and no fillers - some days in 2012 were so hard!
getting around to finishing year 2 and aim to carry on for another got a few days to catch up on though as I have just gone and broken my arm so makes things a bit awkward :)
Started in March 2011 and posted a photo a day the whole year. I have been in and out this second year but I enjoy this site and will continue on as I can. With two kids under the age of three, posting daily is unrealistic for me right now.
2 going into 3. I hope this year will be a little bit more relaxed. I didn't use my camera for the first time in over two years on New Year's Eve. It felt surreal.
@naomi I have been on for one year and have decided I have to do this again. It kinda gets in your blood, trying to get a shot every day, although I was nowhere near as close to doing that as I wanted to be. I will look forward to seeing your work!
Today marks the one year point for me participating in the 365 Project! I only missed one day last year-Feb. 14-when I was awoken around 3 am PST with a frantic phone call from my 26 yr old daughter telling me that my son/her brother (24) who was returning form a lengthy road trip, had (apparently) slipped on icy parking lot & fallen, causing a grand mal seizure, and he was in the hospital ER...over 2,000 miles from me! I immediately booked the first flight I could get (Seattle to St. Louis), and, approx. 7 of the most horrible, terrifying hours of my life later, was standing at my sons hospital bedside, holding his hand, & whispering "I love you, buddy" into his ear. Long story short-after a day of tests, they could find no "reason" for the seizure & sent him home. I stayed in St. Louis for another 3 weeks to be with him, my daughter, 2 yr. old grandson & friends. Two days after my return home to Seattle, I got another phone call-again from my daughter informing me that he had had another seizure! He again went into the hospital and many more tests were run, again, with no definitive cause found. I soon learned more than I ever wanted to know about epilepsy, which is basically a diagnosis doctors assign when no specific cause for seizures can be found (such as a brain tumor). He was immediately put on twice daily medication...and I am so very grateful and happy to report that he has not since suffered another seizure. (fingers crossed & prayers said daily!) SO...! So I think that is a very good (bad!) reason for missing one day of the 365 Project! I am now looking forward to another challenging and fun year of shooting and sharing a little piece of my daily life (and seeing everyone else's too!) Happy 2013 everyone! I am having way too much fun to quit, but I will not stress over posting everyday this year. I'll probably post at @Cromwell 's leisure...I mean my leisure. :-) :-P
Hey, almost finishing my first year too! And off to the second. I made good friends here. Learned a lot from you this year. I am a much more secure and better photographer now, no doubt. I may do a post about this as well.
