Hi there! I hope to follow people from all around the world on 365! I'm based in Cardiff / Caerdydd in South Wales. I'd love to get an insight into life in other countries through your projects- and I hope my project will give you a flavour of life in the Welsh capital. Let me know where you're based!
Have you heard of the Travelers Century Club (http://travelerscenturyclub.org)? It is a social organization/bragging rights group for people who have been to over 100 "countries". They have a fairly loose definition so that places that are politically or geographically isolated count separately from the home country. That means that Alaska and Hawaii as well as other territories count independently from the USA. England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland all count as "countries." They have 321 countries on the list as of July 2011. Of these I have visited 67. Since starting 365project in 2011 I have been to 13 including the continental US. I wonder how many of the 321 countries 365ers have visited. I thought I would start a list of the TCC countries and see if we can get all 321. Here is a link to that list https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Au-rso4-p2xldHdncXVMWV9feDlPd1AtZklQYzF1SUE
So here are some fine details: @prochownia posted a picture from Wales so would get credit for Wales, not the UK. @sjoblues was the first image from the lower 48 so gets to claim the Continental US. @bkbinthecity mentioned being in Canada, but didn't post a picture. That means Canada goes to @newbie
How long until we hit 100? Can we get all 321? I promise that the list I maintain will contain lots of mistakes and be totally out of date. If you add a new country feel free to ping me.
Orange County, Southern California, OC, SoCal- whatever you want to call it, it's my home for the last 13 years. This is not my most spectacular shot, in fact it's quite routine: I see this EVERY day- its the view at the first traffic stop light on my way home from work :)
I live in Pullman Washinton State USA. the first two pictures are taken 1/2 mile from my home and the third picture is down the road about 20 minutes.

I am originally from England, but now live in California. This photo is a church near my childhood home:
And this photo was taken in Malibu, which is about 40 minutes away from me on the rare days there is no traffic!
I live in The Dalles, Oregon which is in the Columbia River Gorge. This pic is taken from the Washington side side of the river about 10 miles West of my town.
This is from my side of the River from just West of my town
My town! Taken from The Dalles Dam (feat Mt. Hood)
And finally, toward the Dam from my town!

I don’t want to hijack your thread, but since there is another Where Are You From thread going this would be a fun thing to do. If you prefer I can start a new thread with this.
Based in Michigan, United States. I don't stay in one city for too long, though. ;P
And as I go through last year's project, it would seem that I spend a lot of time around the Great Lakes.
@Cheesebiscuit With the TCC even a plane change at an airport counts. You have to spend at least a few minutes somewhere to take a picture. So I figure the same rule can apply here. Plus I have only lived in the US. One of my 67 was crossing the bridge at Victoria Falls and setting foot in Zambia. It was another 500 meters to clear customs. I just turned and headed back to Zimbabwe.
I am hoping people stick to pictures they have posted on this website.
@prochownia Cool. I see we are up to 21 "countries" so far.
@mcrt Ah, okay. I only started here a few days ago, so I don't have much to contribute from that point of view. I suppose I do now have an excuse to fly off to exotic places ;-)

@mcrt Interesting idea. I'll see what else I can dig out. Are we only allowed countries we live in or have lived in, not countries we've only visited?
England:
Bavaria, Germany:
Linköping, Sweden:
(I've lived in the first two, but only visited the third.)
Hong Kong:
The Philippines:
Belgium:
Luxembourg:
Netherlands:
Dubai:
Thailand:
Cambodia:
Vietnam:
Been to plently of other places but not during my 365, travel pause!

@carolinestp Yay! Another Montrealer! :D Not too many of us on 365.
I am hoping people stick to pictures they have posted on this website.

I'm a newbie with only four photos posted so here's the one photo that says, "Chicago."
