Hello everyone! I'm Britt, obviously new here. About a week ago I got a nice Pentax set up for a pretty good steal. After not having a camera for about a decade so now I'm here to throw myself into the deep end and have a reason to pull out my camera every day. I've been browsing through the photos and everything I've seen so far is awesome! I really hope to get to know you and learn everything I need to with this project.
Welcome!! We need more Pentax owners here!!! Remember it's your project so if you miss a day- so what?? Use the month of days as a motivator prompt, the challenges really help with technique and if you see a shot you like ask the photographer how they did it- they'll certainly tell you. Enjoy

@30pics4jackiesdiamond I have been doing quite a bit of research on the Pentax cameras and they seem like solid gear. I do wish there were more of us out and about! I'm using a K-7, and while it's an old boy I'm happy with it so far! I got a 50mm 1.4 and 18-250 lens with it third hand for super cheap. The actuation count was way lower than anticipated as well (less than 12k before last week) so I'm a happy camper so far.

I can only add Welcome to the above comments, I joined 365 after using Auto Mode only for the last 12 years and within two months I was dipping my toe into Manual Mode. Everyone is so helpful and no-one here is ever unkind, so enjoy your project. It is a great site for learning how to operate your camera, whatever type, and I'm learning something new all the time.
